E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. The group employs around 70,000 people in 17 countries. In Sweden, around 2,100 dedicated employees work. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heat, and smart energy solutions to over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, enabling more people to transition. With our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs.
Welcome to us at E.ON – and become part of the energy transition. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled smarter. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you.
About us
Our department, Asset Optimization, plays a crucial role in the energy transition as we are responsible for planning and designing the regional network based on current conditions and future needs. Our work provides the conditions for a stable and secure electricity supply while enabling connections of renewable energy production and new withdrawal customers. Asset Optimization is also responsible for monitoring investments, both from a technical and economic perspective, to ensure that investment goals and technical needs are met in a timely manner.
We are now looking for additional program managers to join the Asset Management group for the regional network within the Asset Optimization department. Currently, the group consists of program managers, risk and opportunity analysts, and risk portfolio managers. Everyone in the group works very closely with other groups within the department and within the Regional Network Business unit, which consists of many employees with high technical competence. We look forward to welcoming you to a team where you will work in an inclusive culture where we support each other and are happy to share our knowledge and experiences to learn from one another.
Currently, work is underway to develop our program governance while introducing new processes and systems, two areas where the program manager plays an important and central role. Initially, you will have a significant task in participating in the design and implementation of program and process work in the organization in close collaboration with many other roles within the company.
Several different locations are possible, such as Halmstad, Anderstorp, Växjö, Kalmar, Sundsvall, and also Malmö.
Your role
As a program manager, you will have overall responsibility to ensure progress of defined and initiated reinvestment measures, such as reinvestment projects, within a geographical area that constitutes a program.
Your role includes ensuring that various measures follow the decided plans and that identified opportunities and risks are managed in the best possible way and in a timely manner based on a long-term and overarching plan.
You will act as an internal client for reinvestment measures and continuously keep relevant stakeholders informed about status and progress. You will ensure that program and project directives as well as decision materials are kept updated and available in our systems, and an efficient decision-making process for all measures within the program.
In addition, you will also work with internal coordination within E.ON between different units such as Local Network Business and Regional Network Business, and collaborate to build a sustainable partnership between different roles in the programs, for example between various stakeholders, designers, project managers, and others in the project team. If necessary, you will participate in or hold relevant meetings with municipalities and/or other stakeholders and, if needed, initiate collaboration forums to ensure progress and reduce lead times for upcoming investments.
About you
To succeed and thrive in this role, a technical education at least at the university level is required, preferably in electrical engineering or similar. You have a good understanding of how the electricity grid is structured and the dependencies that exist between different stakeholders in projects. Since the role largely involves collaboration, we value that you have good collaborative skills. You have a structured mindset and clear communication and are skilled in long-term project planning.
You appreciate technical challenges and thrive in a role where you are given significant responsibility to drive and develop your own work. You have a good ability to understand and weigh different perspectives into a company-best solution, and we also look forward to you sharing your knowledge and coming up with ideas to continuously improve and develop our work.
What is it like with us?
At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial to drive the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe work environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continuously challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace, where we hope you will thrive.
We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure you feel good and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include a working time reduction that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
Warm welcome to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is March 15th.
The position is classified as security-sensitive, which means that a security check will be conducted before employment.
